I have 2 sony xplodes in the car now but I think they are 2 or 3 way speakers and I can barely hear them at all. If I buy the replacement from ebay would these hit alot harder? Please help..

I have those and they aren't good but they aren't terrible. I got 2 for that price, But my dad works for the dealer so he got them cheap from other dealerships. If you can wait a little bit I may be getting aftermarket 6x9's so I can sell you mine ;p both of them are brand new Im the one that opened the box that comes from the factory, they are about 3 months old :O
I would just save a little more and get some Infinities

Well first off they wont hit. They are 6x9's. They probably have a Fs around 45 Hz if lucky.
The stock 6x9's (not monsoon) have a Fs of 55Hz and are 8 Ohm (I tested one).
If you want bass from 6x9's get 6x9 subs.
Outside of that put an amp on them. They will get loud and clear real quick!

Just buy some decent 6x9's and hook them up to a multichannel amp. I have mine hooked to to an 800 watt amp, and i go deaf for a week after i listen to music.
As for those sonys, just hook them up to the biggest amp you can find, and crank it... Its fun.

i agree with Ryan from Ohio, get an amp, they'll be louder, that was my problem with my mustang after replacing the factory speakers.
