just reuse the stock boots.

ya, they come w/o the boot. i just reused stock ones. no sense in paying more money for something you already have, unless the stock ones are torn to shit or something.

my stock ones were pretty shitty the last time i checked. i might actually just buy a set of everything off that page except for the agx's since i am not paying over $500 for struts.

ah. well that explains it.

I've had both....FWIW, the AGX's blow the GR-2's away.

are they worth the money? i have been happy with the gr2s so far, even after 3 yrs.

For me they were well worth the money, since I didn't care for the GR-2's at all. The valving was not well-suited for increased spring rates, even the modestly higher rates that lowering springs have.
I don't know how you like to drive though, so if you like the GR-2's, who am I to tell you to switch?

i drive hard and i like to push limits in the corners, i want to upgrade, i've been happy with the gr2s so im hoping its worth the money to upgrade to the agx.

anyone know how the adjustable dampening works? I was told that you don't need to take anything off to adjust it. I'm assuming that the adjustments is achieved by releasing some of the gas out of the strut. But I just can't see how you would reverse the adjustment, I mean if you let some gas out of the the AGX then how would you refill it?

Please help as I am having difficulty justify buying these.

Think of it as a small valve in the strut. In addition to gas, there is a small amount of hydraulic fluid (oil) to help control the movement of the strut. As the strut compresses, gas (and oil) moves from one chamber to another. The struts are adjustable for damping, so you can vary the size of the passageway between the chambers (in a roudabout way), thereby effecting how quickly the strut can compress/rebound. Make sense?

An the adjustment is on top of the strut - only a small screwdriver is required (and included with the strut) for adjustment.
