It's been awhile and finally I got my busted camera replaced. So here are some new pics and mods I've done since the last post a year ago.
There is a pretty big dent on the driverside door, someone did the damage at a baseball tournament. It's not very noticeable from these pics but in person you can spot it a mile away.
I put in a new Alpine indash DVD with NAV, satellite radio and bluetooth all controlled by the head unit. Can't really see that from these pics.
The next mod was the new rims and tire (Bremmen Klasse 20" X 8.5" sitting on Falken 452's 235 30ZR20) These are totally not practical where I live. There are big ass pot holes down every street.
Put in new Ractive racing seats. (It's was a pain in the ass to install for the driver side. I was hoping to use my original powerseat motor but no such luck.
The last mod was the the GM supercharger. A really good friend of mine helped me put this in. Surprisingly, it's alot easier than I thought it would be. We had it in and running in about 8 hours minus 3 of pissin around.
Eibach lowering springs are on ordered and still debating if I should get the KYB GR-2 or the KYB AGX. The AGX are supposed to be really good but I can't afford them right now.

lower the bastard, and for the love of all that is holy, wash and clean that engine bay and put aftermarket intake on it..

You do have another set of rims, those rims while blinging, don't they hurt performance?

Nice to see more people using the GM supercharger kit!! but holy Bling Batman!! those i think would look good on an SUV, like my Bravada, but on a car.....blah!!

I can't believe you have the stock intake on there.
And those rims are nuts. Clear your corners!
off to a good start, its always better to do the major mods first, then you wont run into trouble with them later on from other mods already done to the car.

Your wheels make me want to gouge out my eyes. Those belong nowhere near a car that is boosted. What do they weight 40+ lbs? Congrats you just negated all gains from the charger.

despite the fact that the wheels weigh more than the car itself (for those of you who dont realize.. that was sarcasm).. not everyone wants a 10 second alero lol.. whatever tickles his pickle, and to each their own.

I think he got the charger, so he could use the rims without sacrificing the stock performance...

Great way to waste $4k and have a slow ghetto fabulous car that sounds like a a vacuum cleaner. Wasteful IMO but hey whatever floats your boat. Personally I enjoy burning money.

if i missed it, those are 20s right.. now if he lowers with springs, isnt that definetly gonna cause clearance issues?? and besides that 20s dont belong on an alero, i think 18s look the best.. and even besides that everything else looks good, im just not liking the chrome.. id go gun metal or silver with that car

seems like the general consensus is that the rims don't go well with the car;).
As for the performance, I had the supercharger installed after the rims so wouldn't know if there is any significant gains if I used my other set of rims. But here is what I can tell you guys, even with these rims and about 300 pounds of stereo equipment in the trunk, I still notice a huge difference than before.
I know it's silly to still have the stock intake but just remember everything cost money and we all have a budget and I wanted to spend it on the big things first. I've always been a car audio guy not so much performance but just started to get into this areas recently so I'm still pretty new at it.
Also, where I live, there is virtually photo radar and laser radar on just about every street corner so even if I had another 200hp I can't go fast without getting a ticket anyways. I heard on the news this morning that the cops handed out over 1800 tickets yesterday. So need I say more about this.

clearance shouldn't be an issue, there still alot of room height wise. My other set of rims are 18's but I didn't think they looked good because there is so much space in the wheel wells. Maybe they'll look better once I lower the car.

Here is my original thread that has some pics of how I did the door pods. http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16889
It sort of gives you a general idea. If you do a search on door pods, you'll find lots of instructions on this sort of stuff.

Looks good with 20's and does fill the gap better. I know what you mean when you have such low profile tires seems like you have to scan ahead and look for pot holes etc...and play dodge'em. I cant wait for these to wear out so I can get meatier tires.
