My gauge lights stopped going on and off, also the dimmer switch doesnt work either..

NOTE: i check fuses, they are good, i changed them also just to see, it didnt fix anything. also ALL other interior lights work, just not the Gauge lights.. they are led bulbs so i know they arent burned out, cuz i just got them recently.

im not sure what the issue is.. can anyone help?? is ther like an inline fuse or something?

That might have something to do with the automatic park lamp relay, I couldn't tell you why tho. All I know is I was having a problem with it, and thats what was happened when it acted up. And its important that you check it out asap, because your brake lights also might not be working as well.

bad dimmer switch maybe?

it could be, but do they really go bad?

a decent power surge could burn it out.

take it out and throw an ohm meter across the contacts, then move the dial up and down. if the resistance doesn't change, then you know its a problem, and the switch is shot.

other then that, you know the problem is BEFORE that dimmer, since the switch doesn't work. The dimmer might be fine, but there isn't any power going to it.

me and my friend stuck a meter on it, there was power to it, it read something like 11.23.. and the resistance was around 80or so i think

in that case, your left tracing wires AFTER that switch, since you have power to it, but its not getting to the lights..

Do the rest of the dimming lights work?

These include..

Radio, I/P Compartment Lamp (the cubby under the radio), Shift Indicator (auto), Cruise Control switches, Hazard Switch, HVAC controls.

no, the HVAC, Shift console lights are not working...

There isnt an inline fuse on this is there? also i foound that site for the forum about finding info for your car. but since im doing this myself, is there a better pic someone could get me. so i know exactly where it goes, cuz i need this fixed asap, cuz no gauge lights means i cant see the speedometer, at night

there is no inline fuse. all the fuses are on the sides and one under the hood.

ok, so could it b bad ground? or that all the LED Bulbs happen to blow at once?

Wow, same thing is happening to me now. My Hvac and gauge cluster is not lighting up.
Solutions?

same thing we were telling him. check all fuses that apply, and the ones that probably don't, but still could.

I don't think that circuit is providing enough voltage...someone else had the same issue on here, but never replied as to how he fixed it. That's just a guess without knowing what kind of lights, how you got them wired,.....etc.
