Just go it back today. As you know I hit a deer about a month ago, it has been in the body shop for two weeks. The passenger side rear quarter panel, door and front fender were all repaired and painted. Hood and front bumper were both painted. I supplied the new hood and front fender. He also installed a new windsheild since mine has been cracked for a year now. Grand total of $944, paid $200 for the hood and $50 for the fender. Got new seats from Casey when I bought the hood. He charged me $50 for the pair. What a steal. I got a lot of stuff done for under $1300 huh? I am taking it to get a pinstripe put on the hood next week, probably will do silver to separate the carbon and red. Let me know what you think. Don't worry I will be getting better pics for the calendar later. I was just excited and had to post pics.

leave the hood as is no pinstripe. me likes it. overall i think it would look better with black rims but if youre happy thats all that matters

It would have looked nice with black but if I went with black powdercoat they would have blended with the tires too much. There is no way to do a chrome lip with pcoat so I did not really have a choice there. AGT the reason I went with these seats, well first of all they were dirt cheap, second my driver's seat was torn and the lumbar support was broken out of it, and these are so damn comfy and supportive.

Now that you mention it I might not do a stripe. Could a mod add a poll to this when you get a chance. Just two option, Stripe, yes or no. Thank you.

The hood turned out good. Looks much better on your car than in my garage too.

How are you liking the seats?

looks bad ass, nice choice on the hood paint. I would put a thin stripe between the the colors think it will make it stand out more.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Casey I just installed the seats today. They sit so nice. I love them. Thanks again man.

For those who think I should stripe it, which color? I am leaning towards silver.

@Circean, Kyle and I talked about the wheels and the hood being so close to matching a few weeks ago on here and determined since our ideas and styles are so similar we might be long lost brothers or something. LOL, does that make you some weird type of sister in law? Plus now you know that it looks sweet and that you should do it. It's not like anyone other than on here would ever know that there are two aleros on earth sporting the same paint on their 1/20 cowl hoods.

Good job with the hood. As for the interior addition, you need to add some touches to the interior for the seats to blend in with the stock interior.

I know I need to do something inside but I have a tough time justifying appearance mods. The only reason I did all this was that it was cheap and needed to be fixed. I want gauges and a new deck but can't justify the expense. I would paint alot of interior pieces a gloss black but dont have the patience to keep doing it when the stuff starts to chip and look like ass. Suggestions on the inside would be great if you have ideas.

I don't know if you ever saw my interior with those seats, but I did the top half of the interior with black vinyl dye (2 cans at $10 each) and it really tied the interior together. I even left the dash in and did the painting when it was about 40 degrees outside. All I did was tape everything off. I can post some pics if you want to see it.

Also, it's been painted 3-4 years now and it still looks like it came like that from the factory.
