Introducing My Alero

Hola everyone, I think is time to show my 02 Alero. Just got my second Alero around a month ago, always thought was going to be impossible to find it as a 5-Speed($2500). It sure turns some heads around here, especially cuz it aint that common to see a modded Alero around here. Let me know what you guyz think :scpimp: .

This one is the legend (1999, 235,000 with an ecotec swap), just gave it to my brother.

Already got R1concept rotors installed this weekend, no pictures yet. No wheels for now due to winter coming. Future mods are performance wise like: Intake, short throw and clutch; headers and exhaust prolly after winter also.

They 17x7s... 225/45r17. Prolly to dark to do the justice, but I think is cause of the lip that you makes it look smaller.. idk

yeah must be the lip because i have 255/40/17s, the sidewall is the same but damn my tires looks huge compared to yours

How's the SC set up working out for you so far, did you get the gas gage bugs worked out yet?

^ S/C Doing good man, havent had a chance to get all I want on, full exhaust is just waiting to be welded and put on, the intercooler is almost good to go(removed the condenser since im not using that, more space) to keep the HO cool. Gas gauge im not worry about lol.

That is one slick looking car. I like the rims alot, they look way clean, the tint like blends in with the car.

So your headlights, did you take them out and just paint the bezels black and leave the orange reflectors in? or what did you do?

Hell yeah im in the anti-clear mafia :lol: I wanted something different than the other car that I had the clear on it, but also the whole theme I want is black and bronze(or gold). Hence why I left the amber on this time, and got the plate frame color and I was missing the emblems to change them, until these wheels came by and I couldn't let them pass. Might change the wheels for the next year. The car paint is not perfect tho, some rust starting :( and few marks from the previous owner. Ill probably paint it after winter if money is available.

Th0r I like your car color and whole theme, wish my bro can get one that looks like yours & have both,and especially that weather that you Florida guys get free of rust.

01Olds ill be all over that trade if I were you for the right price obviously, im guessing the car should be mint and rust free. You wont regret the 5-speed.

Dam that drescription sounds like mines haha.. My has 108 right now, but I did pay 2500 when it was about 99k. I know this cars grow on people lol, especially if you done stuff to it already. I know 5-speed is fun and all, but you would be downgrading from v6 power and the torque. But I hope that your engine is not a ticking bomb waiting for the LIMG to happen around that mileage. What color is the one for sale?

HAHA thanks.. That was the original setup I want and still do, but its something my friend had layin around when we did it. Another thing is we ran the piping under the axle, so im trying to see how to hide it more when I get the Dynomax. The weather dont even let me intercool it yet, and I have all the parts..

Yea eventually... I put them on and than sold the rubber to a friend of mine, I didnt really like the tires I had(im picky since I used to do tires). They are suppose to go back but im holding off, and on the other hand those 16s has brand new BFgs tires right before the winter that I didnt used cause I swap to snow tires right after, so might aswell give them some use haha.

B&M short throw... its the same as the cavalier one. I heard Hurst for the cobalt will fit if im not mistaken, I read so much online that im getting stuff confused lol. I think that the one kwhauck its using on his 5speed swap.

The lil reservoir is the stock cobalt one, I got it all together when I bought it, on cobaltss.net you prolly find lots of stuff. There is mostly two pages of selling parts everyday.

Alrite the filter, theres alwayz a story with me since I kinda the first one to test on these cars first lol...

I ended up buying just the filter after since I just disconnected the taller breather.
