does anyone know what other cars have the same bolt pattern as the alero alot of wheel sites dont have olds listed in their vehicle selects. Is there any other car that i could order rims for that would fit?

Lots of threads on this, including a recent one by some newb.

When ordering wheels don't go by what they think will fit, go by the facts. Check Aleromod Upgrades..
Exterior-->Wheels/Tires

5x115 or 5x114.3 with a +38 to +42 offset, typically.

^^I think to become a member to this site, you have to go to aleromod upgrades. I dont think enough people know about it, and I know you are always referring to it. Personally, I find it VERY useful.

But yeah, best bet it checking pattern to ensure a perfect match.

well alero's are supposed to take 38-42, cliff says it depends on wheel size.. i'm not sure

the 35s might stick out of your wheel wells and the 45s might rub the inner when turning

I had a nice set of wheels on the ex wife's Cavy that I took in the divorce and planed to swap them onto the Alero

They where dual bolt pattern 5 x 100 and 5 x 114.3, and they fit on the car, but the lug nuts could only go 1/2 a turn, so I bought longer studs which worked, but the offset was 45 and they rubbed on the brakes

dude that sucks, lemme see so if the offsets too high itll rub inward and too low theyll stick out?

okay...im gonna be a noob...

those are the ones i want but in 18's i think 17 looks to small its cool for a coupe just not a sedan

Valley olds
10-21-2008, 11:51 PM
Yup, the second number is the width. It should fit the alero (size-wise), depending on the tire profile you choose. I, myself have 15x7s on my car. As long as you choose the right tire profile it should be the same thing.

You find it useful because you have a 4-banger. Where is the performance section for the LA1!?

you do know the coupe and sedan are the exact same size length and width right?

AlbinoMonkeyRat
10-22-2008, 10:22 AM
^ ture, but I know what he's saying. the coupe "looks" bigger (based on body lines, and the size of the doors), so it would need bigger wheels.

Why would the engine have anything to do with which wheels fit? You must not have read any of the thread. Noobs. :icon_rolleyes:

Size: 18x7.5
PCD: 5x114.3
ET: 35

This may help you to judge if something will fit for future referrence. A tire tech at a local shop here explained what the numbers means. The first number is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the distance in milimeters from the center of any one bolt hole to the centre of the furthest bolt hole opposite that. It should be easy to tell which holes if you imagine connecting the holes to form a star. So with this said, the difference between the two bolt patterns mention in this thread is 0.7 mm.

Next time you put your wheels on take a look at the fitting, there's about at least 1mm to spare between the hole and the bolt. So yes it will fit as Ion already mentioned.
