Unfortunately I don't remember which bulletin it was, but GM knows of this problem. I will see if I can find it.

Sorry, you know the bulletin, check with your dealer. My car has the same problem, but only when I go through large puddles. I think that's how I blew the resistor pack for the blower.

Hey, I found this site http://service.gm.com:8083/gmtechlink/arcv_pdf/9_01_e.pdf

They have an archive of the gm Tech newsletter. It's not the exact issue, but it's close and maybe you can find it there. I checked the 9/01 through 12/01, the TSB was for 10/01. I looked for 01-08-57-003, but I found -001 in the Bulletins section of the newsletter. This addresses a water leak condition in the pickup. It's a pretty cool site. I don't know if we're supposed to be there, but it's wide open.

Hopefully you haven't had this problem....
Last weekend we had rain on Saturday and Sunday, sometimes heavy. Went to start car on Monday and no start. The car would start for a second and then shut off. Hooked the computer up to the data link and the BCM was missing in action. Turns out that the BCM was full of water from the HVAC leak. Still haven't found the source but I did move the BCM to the side and away from the mount attached to the blower motor mount. You may want to check yours out to make sure you don't have any water sloshing around in there. Mine appears to have been in there for quite some time, slowly accumulating. As soon as I removed it and tipped it the water ran out onto the floor. The BCM isn't sealed so any water will come out through the cracks. Just a heads up...
