Hey everyone. Today I replaced the spark plugs. Weird thing is, while before, the car would shift at 6200 (at WOT), now it shifts at 5800 (at WOT). Is this normal? What are you guys shifting at?

Well mines Standard... but it cuts out at about 6200.... I think thats because of my Gauviner <--- I know i butchered that word... haha

Also... can anyone tell me how to start a thread... lol

If it is actually related to the spark plugs, I'd say its a good thing if you used the correct oem plugs. However if you didn't use the correct plugs, I would put those in.

It does feel pretty good. The spark plugs I used are the NGK TR55 3951. These are the ones that they gave me at autozone. I am kind of doubtish of how I gapped them though, and thought that was an effect of my gapping.

NGK TR55 are the good ones to get.

Shift points depend on various things. Sometimes my LD9 shifts at 6200, sometimes 6400, etc. Let me go check the tune on our cars and see what goes into choosing the point to shift.

There's shift speed and shift RPM tables. At a certain vehicle speed on the road compared to the throttle position percentage, the car will shift to whatever gear. Like at 100% throttle, shift speed is 42 MPH. Also, the "WOT RPM vs. Shift" table says
1->2 6300
2->3 6400
3->4 6400

How about those NGK platnium tips?

^ I dont know what you are asking, but if you are asking how well they work, Ive read copper spark plugs work better. Platinum plugs will last longer though. So if you want a durable plug, go platinum, but if you want the better performing plug, even if it lasts less, go copper.
