The front transmission/motor mount can be replaced with the rsm version. if you are looking for this mount you can find it @ rsm or high rev motorsports. The mount is for the 3400 motor but works on the 2.4 with no problems. It is a direct bolt on. This mount is awsome and I am very pleased with it.

Awesome, thanks for letting us know. Any negative side effects? Noise? Rougher shift?

I wouldnt say it to be negative. But you do have some vibration in the car. On that same point that is what a solid mount should do. There is definetly a gain in torque. I can smoke tires now and with the B&M shift plus I can finaly get second gear scratch. Great part and somthing like a 30min install.

why wouldn't u just use the ones for the 2.4? i'm lookin at those, but now i dunno...can anyone shine some light on this for me?

the only motor mounts for the 2.4 is for the j-bodies, period. the J-body mounts and N-body are completely different.

so for us 2.4 N-body guys there has been nothing to work. until now.

hmm..so then why would RSM list sum motor mounts under the 2.4 section in the alero if they don't even fit?!? that's stupid...

because they are dumb......lol. No Sweat had those mounts and they don't work.

the reason for it is because everyone has assumed that they work but nobody has really tried.

 why is this so confusing? ok.. i'll give u details, then maybe u can help...2000 GX 2 dr, 4cylinder, 5spd...if this dont help then i dunno, ill forget about mounts till i figure this poop out

what is so confusing??????????????

the getrag is the 5-spd.

all you need to do is see if the front tranny mount on a 3400 Alero that is the v-6 matches your front tranny mount.

Now on the automatic transmission equipped car this mount is located to the left of the battery (your left when looking at battery) and down towards the bottom some. if you look at a v-6 alero and see this mount then look at your car and see if your mount looks the same or if different.

if different then you will have to fill your mounts with polyurethene caulk.

o ok...i get it now...thanks oldsman..i'll look into that when i can find a v6 alero..
