Anybody have step by step instructions on removing the hood of a car? Of course, ours in particular.

should just be 4-6 bolts at the back of the hood on the hinges. Take those out and off comes the hood.

thats what i figured. wouldnt think there would be anymore to it. you'll probably need some help obviously, the hood isnt exactly the lightest part on our cars. my be able to get away with it using the prop rod and maybe a couple pieces of wood or something. wouldnt recommend that tho.

yea, just grab a friend, undo the bolts holding the hood on first or the lifts(not sure which would be better to do without looking at my car)......then take off the other.......nothing really to it

well on a 99 the first thing you would do is take off the hydralic props, but since you have a 2000 yours is one step easier, and from experience it will be much easier with two friends....one on each side and have them keep pressure down on the hood until all 4 bolts are out because otherwise the hood will want to come off after the first two bolts and the other 2 bolts will be really hard to get off but yeah that is basically it......two buddies....and unbolt....just pm if you have anymore questions
