Chicago Meet

so i thought it would be a good thing and get some pressure off of scot and i will organize the next meet
i have been doin some thinking about the next meet and thought it would be a great idea to get everyone together for another great turn out
the meet is goin to be at my g/f`s house in highland indiana, so far the date is july 17th, or the end of july
this reason is miami sub`s is having a car show on the 17th if no one can make it to that one then we can do the last saturday in july, we can meet at her house have a bbq, drinks, fun, b.s. about car`s, then leave her house and convoy to the show
greg and john you guys are more then welcomed to stay at her house oh ya randy too
so this is my plan, to organize the next meet

i should be able to make it. we got our condo sold and the guy signed the contract for the new house so we got it. so if it takes 30 days o close then it might cause an issue.

well iam shootin for the 17th, me and g/f went down last night to the car show and holy crap 2 parking lots full and the street!!

so it`s set for the 17th, if anyone wants to enter their car we would have to be there before 3 if ya want to if not no biggie

hey Smokin' if you want to you can come to champaign, IL first and then i can drive up with you to chicago since youre not familiar with it. and i checked yahoo driving directions it;s about a 20 mile difference betw going straight to chicago and coming to champaign first.

anyway i can get an address? i've got a program at work that gives more detailed directions than any kind of websites can give. we use it to help our trucking companies out for new suppliers that we pick up. it even calculates when you would need to stop and get gas. as of right now though, i'm in. planning on visiting some friends while i'm up there and may even spend a couple days with my grandparents in minnesota, since i'd be half way there anyway. looking forward to meeting everyone!

Here's the deal, I know this may sound odd, but here goes. I'm basically planning a week long vacation around this just because it will be only chance to get away this summer, since my parents aren't doing crap untill later on when I'm back in school. (Assholes are using all my dad's frequent flyer miles and got an all enclusive trip to Hawaii for $20, it would have been $40 for the entire family, punks!) Driving up on the 16th, leaving on the 18th. On the 18th I'm catching a flight to Boston to meet up with some friends that are back from london on vacation and have a beach house somewhere else in Massachussets. Up next to New Hampshire I guess. Now, when I was checking on airfare to Boston, I noticed it's $330 round trip from St. Louis, for grins sake I checked from Chicago, only $170. Guess I'm gonna fly out of Chicago then! I'll be coming back to Chi town on the 22nd and then driving back to St. Louis that night or the next day.

Now, I seriously don't trust airport parking, so I'm probably going to park my car at one of my friends house and have him take me to the airport, if he agrees to that, he probably will because he left a telephoto lens at the other friends house in London, and I will be able to return it to him. If that doesn't work out, I guess I'll have to deal with parking my car at the airport. Which I really, really don't want to do.

the meet is starting at 12 reason being is so we can eat, hang out for a few and the people that are goin to show there cars will give us some time to do final cleaning
and the people that are not goin to show well you will be at a empty house cuz we are all goin
and highland in, really does not advertise this show at all it is well enough know in town that it does not need to be
trust me the last few show`s that took place over there it filled up 3 parking lots and the street!!!
smokin if need be ya can park it at her house on the street and iam there during the week too so it will be safe up to you

so about the show in highland how much is it to show? and when is the registratoin?

the cost i think is 15 bucks, at the show registration is at 3:00, and any one that is showing we have leave her house about 2:30 to get good spots
and last time i was there it was goin on 8 at night and still packed!!!!
there really is no pre registration, it`s at the time when you show up really
