I just wanna get my girl a cheap pair of 4x6's for her Cobalt. She blasted the stock ones.

don't get keenwood 4x6's. they are cheap and sound nice to start, but blow easily.

almost all good brand remote starts will have options to hook up the parking brake and neutral safety switches so thats not a problem.

If I got an alarm/remote start off of eBay who should I have install it. I doubt the big stores will want to do it.

For the 4x6s, look into some Phoenix Gold coaxials. You can get them pretty cheap off ebay and they are great replacements for stock.

As for the alarm,

I use that one and love it. Alot of useful features and is compatible with a manual transmission :)

you can find a local sound&security shop that will install the alarm

I don't know if CarTunes is a MI-only thing but they do that kind of stuff.

kickers are great, about 30-40 bucks. i upgraded to infinities and could hardly tell the difference.

check out crutchfield, sometimes they have incredible deals and shipping is always free.

I have a ScyTek based alarm too (Astra777), where do we get replacement 2-way fobs? I dropped mine at Speed Industry and nearly killed it (the display no longer seems to work)

Edit: Looks like you can get them on that site. Shit. $45. Wonder how you make it work with your alarm.

Edit: Comes with instructions. I should just quit talking.

Yeah I have the Viper

If the Scytek works I would get it because Viper replacement remote is 150 or ebay for lowest I have seen at 50.

I would highly recommend the scytek.
I've had mine for a year or so, and the company is nothing but quality.

The Scyteks are very solid and we've had no issues with them.
As for a good dependable 4x6" (since it's not for you I'm sure you don't want to convert to 5.25") you should look at the Pioneers.
