do glow guages need factory lighting

if u put on the white face guages the one with the power and ground wire do u still need ur factory lights to light them up or do they have their own seaperate lighting?

use the search, this has been asked a few times and no it doesn't use factory lighting, there is a seperate light that needs to be wired into a 12 v source.
