Hello everyone I was so happy to stumble across this site after watching a video about it on youtube. My Redhot is a 2003 red Alero GL1. It has never had any huge mechanical problems and even when I lived in North Dakota with the temp at -40 she started up without a hitch. One thing I am really upset about is the read drum brakes which just seem silly, also I don't have ABS which after a bit of research it seems they stopped putting 4 wheel disc ABS on all Aleros in 2003. The fact that it eats through brakes worst then my old '78 FJ55 Land Cruiser does also make me sad. All in all its a great car and I hope to have it for many more years.

if you keep replacing your brakes with the oem shit then of course they will not last. spend the extra $$ and upgrade pads and rotors. rear brakes don't do shit on these cars so the rear discs are only for looks in my opinion. i bought my car with 36k miles and changed the oem rear brakes at 115k miles.
