6 speed swap

hi i have a quick question to ask i dont care if its not worth doing i just want to know if a 6speed F40 would bolt on to a 2.4L

i think the 2.4 trannys mount diff. then the 3.4 look at the stickied thread on here about swapping the 5 speed into the 3.4 and then combine the two threads to see what it would take.

I thought all you would need to do is make sure the bellhousing mounted up? I think you could make it work, albeit with some fab work. That would be pretty wicked if you ask me.

So does the 3.4L and the 2.4L trannys have the same bellhousing?

No they do not. This means no, the 6 speed F40 will not bolt up to a 2.4. It would take a custom bell housing adapter that you'd have to have made, and a lot of other work, as that transmission was never meant for an N-body car.
