View Full Version : Thinking about selling the Alero...

Hi everyone! I met several of you last summer at the Homecoming. I have an Oh-Four Alero sedan in Sandstone Beige. I found out that it was the newest Olds at the show that year. Anyways, despite my best efforts to keep it up, since it's turned 80000 miles this past month (though you'd never know it to look at it, looks more like a 20000 mile car) it's starting to give me problems. The anti-lock/trac control keeps going out. I can usually reset it by putting the car into neutral and turning it off and re-starting it, but it's getting to the point of not working, and then the Security light comes on and stays on, and the anti lock system starts making all kinds of strange noises, even though I'm not touching the brake pedal. I really love the car, and would love to keep it forever, but I no longer have the means to keep it up. If any of you might be interested, I'd be willing to let it go for $6700. From what I understand, the fix for the problem is only a few hundred dollars. The car still drives as good as it did when I bought it in oh-four. It's been Ziebarted every year as well, including paint sealer and fabric protection. It's still a head turner! If anyone might be interested, please feel free to drop me a line, supremebrougham at yahoo.

Thanks!!!

just as a reference point (not crapping your sale at all) but we have a fully modded alero, on site, that isn't selling for 2k.... and a couple others not moving, for a little more then that.

yeah, the reason most of us are here is because we have alero's or had them, and probably dont want them... classifieds?

80k mile alero...hmmm....you'd probably be lucky to get 5k for it, but good luck selling it, i would try news papers or craigslist

It was there. I remember talking to the guy. His car was hiding :D

Simple fixes, I'd fix it and keep it, becuase like everybody else said, it's not going to pull in that kind of money
