tsb's explained....
When a particular problem occurs frequently with a vehicle, the auto manufacturers research the problem, identify the symptoms, and determine the most accurate way to fix the problem. This information is compiled into a technical service bulletin (TSB) and provided to the auto dealers. TSB's are not recalls and the repair facility will charge for the repair of your vehicle if warranty has expired.
TSB's are extremely helpful when purchasing a new or used vehicle. A list of TSB's on the vehicle will let you know all the common problems that could occur. TSB's also are great in assisting the automotive technician with quickly diagnosing and repairing the problem.

My favorite TSB ever is "Cup Holder Too Small." I got a whole new console, but now it fits a 20oz. :)

Is there another way to get access to the TSB without getting a membership? I am curious as to what the TSB has to say about the steering for the 99 2.4.

i don't believe there's any way to get the tsb's without paying for the membership.... (idea) i wish enough people might consider "chipping" in to purchase the membership, take all the information on the '99-'04 alero's and make a database of alero tsb's on the site..... hmmmm... who knows...anythings possible  ;)

^ I can fit a 20oz botle in there, no problem! (unless you're talking about the thing in front of the shifter, by the radio...can't fit poop there)

I can't believe the TSB's aren't out there somewhere for free. I have 3 Chryslers and I can find out almost anything on those.

There are a few of the more common ones here:

If I can find more I will add them. I should have the Engine Performance pages up by the end of the week. Had a lot of links to fix.
