Hey guys,

I have an '03 w/ option code U85- the Hi performace '8' speakers system, in conjunction w/ the sun and sound package. The rear 6x9s are blown. I really liked the factory sound and don't want aftermarket. 2 ?s on this:

1. For '03, was the Monsoon system dropped and replaced w/ other equipment, or was the name Monsoon simply dropped and the old equipment carried on after '02?

2. Part # on the speaker is 22700954. Nothing on the net for this. There are numerous hits for part 22698418, described as 6x9s for Monsoon equipped '01-'05 Aleros and Grand Ams. Is this the same part w/ multiple cross matching numbers, or is it a different speaker?

Thanks in advance!

Spend $100 and get new Pioneer 4x6 and 6x9s. You will not like the "factory sound" after you hear how any aftermarket sounds like.

both are ok, mediocre brands.

if you want great sound, be willing to spend more for it.

if not... i'd go with pioneer or infinity.

Ive got Memphis's and they sound good. Right now I have them with the stock deck, and they sound nice and clear. Front ones cost me 50 and rears 65ish 70ish dont really remember.

Thanks for the opinions on aftermarket, but still would appreciate some help on those factory part numbers.
