it is still in the process of being worked on. Bodykits is waiting for an alero so they can see for they selfs the sideskirt issue then resolve it but they are waiting for alerosaint to stop over.

until then we have to be patient and after that is done then we should all of our questions answered, hopefully.

yeah, i agree. the kit makes the alero look good!!! everywhere i go people ask me what kind of car it is. and when i tell them its an alero they dont believe it. i guess it throws them off seeing an alero with a kit on it.

Your Buddy Aldo who I talked to last week said the following that the rear bumper is our problem. If we want a new rear bumper, that they can not guarantee it is 100% fixed, we would have to pay shipping for our bumper back to them and then pay for shipping of the new bumper back out to us. They WILL NOT work with us on the rear bumper. because it does fit but poorly it is our problem. As for the side skirts when Alero saint gets his car there they will look at them and if they determine that they do not fit our cars they will send us out a new set of side skirts, no cost to us but if they feel they are fine and will work on the cars then it is our problem.

So if you want your money back, then contact your Buddy Aldo and see what answer you get. However remember this if you do get your money back but if someone else does not this causes a HUGE issue and this would ruin your reputation on aleromod.

As for getting a car there well Andy has worked on this and has found the closest aleromod member, but the member has had issues and has updated everyone on here. Now it is not Andy's fault the side skirts do not fit. this is your Buddy Aldo's problem. However you must remember that they have also dragged their feet on this whole project and to attack Andy on this taking so long when you have spoke to your Buddy Aldo about the OSV kit and know about the projects that has pushed the OSV project back is not fair but more of an attack.

Far as you not having your kit, i thought you sent it back or you never had it shipped so that is why you have nothing to show for your money. Your choice. You could have had it shipped and being a fiberglass expert you could have easily fixed the kit for your car.

Marc, just so you know actually Maureen and I both spoke with Aldo and tried to work things out professionally, while he was not rude, he didn't help us either on the rear bumper. He said they did fix the rear bumper mold but never test fit it on a car so he couldn't guarantee it was fixed but however he has 20 bumpers in stock. We tried to offer different options so we can work out some agreement on the rear bumper but Aldo said he couldn't do it. We would need to pay shipping both ways for a bumper that may not be fixed.

He lives in Washington State. Do you want to pay for him to go back down to LA? It's only 1600 mile each way. His Sub is also heading out shortly.

I don't mean to attack Andy on this, its just getting frustrating on the time line of this. I realize this falls on bodykits.org primarily but its now our responsibility to get a car there and alerosaint (which thank you for offering) it seems there is one problem after another and maybe we should start looking for another car? There has to be more than 1 alero in CA. Hell go to a rental place and rent an alero for a day.

Try explaining to a car rental company why Bodykits destroyed their side skirt and I don't think rental companies are using Aleros anymore as they are 5 years old. As I just posted Alersaints car is ready, he just needs to get back from vacation, a week is not going to make a difference. Do people not read what I just posted. Aldo made a comment about going to a junk yard and getting an Alero but hasn't made an attempt.

I understand that it is frustrating, it is for all of us. You could ask Aldo for your money back but he would tell you the same thing he has told others and that was NO!

I have a problem with them screwing this up royally and you expect us to bend over backwards to fix their problem.

I have repeatedly asked Aldo to have the owner call me and he just tells me the that he has passed on the messages. I find it funny that Cliff found an e-mail address for the owner and I have emailed him a few times and he finally responded to me today. Asking for a list of issues and he will try to work things out when he gets back to California on Tuesday.

I sent him a lovely letter tonight and asked Jose to do the same thing with his issues. I am done with Aldo. If I owned that company he would be long gone, he is bad for their business.

Thanks for the offer bro. thats not the point though. the point is that bodykits lost my parts which they shouldnt of lost to begin with.

then, they cut my muffler and tell me they will reinstall it coming out of the center. that never happened. instead, the lost it and left my original exhaust pipe right behind the rear bumper to the point that it got really hot to the point that if i would of poked it, i think the indention would of stayed. so i paid extra money to get the pipe routed to the center.

thats why i keep pushing the issue. i'll see what happens next.

We discussed this about 2 months ago on the phone. I warned you that if you did let them fit the rear to make them sign a contract stating all damages would be paid by them. They apparently have trouble following a signed contract though. In searching for info, Cliff found the LA BBB site that ranked them a C-, there were 13 complaints of which most were for not following contracts. Funny thing is when we researched them on the California site there were no complaints posted.

Watch them like a hawk and if you see something not right tell them to stop, it's not worth them screwing your car up also.

It is very possible that he canceled because the owner of Bodykits stated in an email to me that he would be back on Tuesday. Quite possibly the owner wants to see first hand what they screwed up in the first place and was never told by Aldo about it. I'm sure we all know that any kit is going to need a little work to get it to fit just right and whatnot.... That's not really the issue... From what I read, there are much bigger issues with fitment, getting wrong parts, the quality not being what it should be, and some other issues. That and the fact that they are having a lot of trouble with bodykits just trying to get these issues resolved.

I am interested to know if there was a contract or something that was signed about the kit. If a lawsuit ends up being filed though, there are a lot of things you can show that puts the ruling in your favor. They really have nothing to defend themselves other than we are mad at them. lol

The notch is where the door closes on a 2 door. Our stock skirts went straight across without a notch. For some dumb ass reason they put a notch on it.

It needs to be straight the entire lenght of the skirt to accomodate a 2 or 4 door.

Are you sure he's gonna be there on Saturday? They dont work weekends. Im telling you this because that is what Aldo did to me 2 months ago. He said he would meet up with me on Saturday, I showed up, he didnt. Nor did he answer his phone when i called.

I dont know how your schedule is, but if you can show up friday after your final or so, i suggest you try. that way you wont run into the whole issue that he wont show up. just my advice bro.

Stellar install job. That was/is their idea of a professional install. And then they handed Jose the car in a torrential downpour instead of in the shop where he could look more closely at it.

I can't wait to hear about Jose's conversation today. Aldo twice has given Jose an incorrect or false UPS tracking number for the parts that he is owed. The second one was being delivered to a location about 10 minutes from Scots house. He sent me the link to verify it and it was definitely incorrect. Something tells me that they don't have his parts.

here are the revised side skirts without the notch....the gap between the door and the skirts are about the same as stock..about 1/4 inch give a take a mm or so...it is sagging a little in the middle but should perk up after its bolted in....

did they test both sides??????????? if not they should just incase there is a difference in length. but if they measure what the stock skirt is then they should know what to make theirs at.

Ok im im leaving the shop now....all in all I think it went well and progress with the skirts was made....my bumper did have any issues really, it look good to me...the pics are there so you tell me?? but Hyma and his buddy was real cool. They put my car back the way they found it....had great attitudes...so what its worth my kudos to the shop guys....im going home...dueces

im not in the buy at all, but just looking at it, it looks like the passenger rear pops out a bit when they had the clamps on the wheel well around the rear tail light... just my observation, it might be like that normally, i havent checked too closely, but i know you all are looking for any imperfections visible...

also, im glad that they worked on the sideskirt. mine is diffinately cracked cause it got forced in place. almost like the crack on one of the pics.

the rear bumper, underneath the trunk lid still seems warped, or is that just me?

Glad to see they finally can admit they did not make them right the first time. The rear looks a lot better than the pieces that we all recieved. Be interesting to see what they want to do now to make this right for us.

This is what Aldo will do for us.......we will get the new sides = no charge and we can keep the first ones. the rear well if you pay to ship yours back and then pay for shipping the new one to you then you can have a new rear.

yeah, but my rear bumper is cracking alot under the left taillight and some under the right. i dont even have an idea on how much its gonna cost to fix that. here, i found a shop that will work on the kit, but they want 700 bucks just to fix the left sideskirt that broken. i think thats just rediculous. i have no idea what i wanna do with this now.

that doesn't surprise me on the $700. There is a lot of man hours in those side skirts. If they want that much for the side i bet they would want 1k-1.5k for the rear bumper,

Since they didnt bolt it down it had a lil pop out look to it....we took one of the clamps of and he pulled on it like it was bolted up and the area fitted tighter and smoother

To me the the rear bumper flowed well on my car, but like I said since it was not bolted up it pertruded a lil in couple places. When we did mock it up like it was bolt it looked smooth and lined up to me..also it was a lil wavy under the trunk lid but it also wasnt bolted down.....but compared to the others the warpage on my bumper was real minimal

Hyma did say that....he said you can heat it up to adjust how much you want the flare

One thing I did noticed was the rear bumper I had installed on my car was not as badly warped as some of the other bumpers seen, and Im not a bodykit professional but to me the rear I had fit well....there a lil things that can be done to make it perfect but for the most part it went on there well....i mean you guys seen the pics what do you think?

Based on what we were told by Aldo when he was asked by Scot on the phone he stated that everyone would receive a new set of sideskirts at NO additional charge. That should include also. Do not spend a dime on your kit untill we get it all resolved.

Nothing just yet. Wait until the new skirts get sent to us. Then go from there. Sounds like we get screwed on the rear bumper regardless of what else happens.
