SO I ordered 10 UV LEDs for my car and they should be here today. I read Cherrys how-to and its excellent. Ive been searching the forum for almost 30 mins or more trying to find this out.

OK...

So in the beginning of Cherrys thread, the first picture shows the SHIFT SELECTOR being a strip of leds. Is it possible to change those out as well? Obviously those appear to be soldered in there and arent a plug in play.. But does anyone have any advice on tryin it?

Secondly,

Yalero, Cherry, anyone.... Could you possibly email me or PM with some pictures of how to do the glow needles. I cant justify spending 90 bucks on them. Id rather try it myself. Plus my color combo is totally off the wall and I dont think they make those in the color I want.

UGGHHH.. its 530am and I still havent been asleep yet!

glow needle how to is inside yalero's thread on "what to do with 100 leds"

you WILL NEED 3mm ones. 5mm are the standard side (whats in the shift selector)

i've thought about changing those too. only thing is, i would want them to change color like they do now, and have no idea what colors to swap them with. i'd unsolder one, then put a multimeter on it. see what kind of voltage your working with. if i remember correctly red and yellow are usually 2.6V, so it won't be a direct swap, since your UV are probably 3.6.

Ahhh thanks! I knew there was a howto on the needles somewhere. Just couldnt find it. Im cheating on the dash lights tho. They are just 194 leds. Im not sure if I could do the real LEDS on the selector thing. I have color changing LEDS that are plug and play 194s. But my color scheme has purple in it, and the color changin ones only change between red, blue, green, and orange
