OK, I did searched into numeros post and found nothing....

What I want to do is put my brand new Pioneer 4x6 that I bought like a month ago into my door...
The problem is that I have the monsoon system, the stock ones are 2ohm ???watts, but the pioneer are 4 ohm 130Watts..... will it hurt the amp because of the different ohm??? because I don't want to mess thing up.

Also soon I will be changing the rear 6x9 so I was just unsure about the ohm needed for those ones.....(if somebody has some good 6x9 fell free to let me know)

I hope that some audio guru can help me out on that one...
Thanks

yes. you need to match ohms

damn, can just wire in parallel a 4 ohm resistor that way it will work like a 2 ohm, or if I do that it will completely destroy the speaker sound signal ????

I don't think that a 4 ohm speaker can hurt the amp if you're currently running a 2 ohm speaker. You will lose power if you switch to a 4ohm speaker.

There would be more of an issue if your system is spec'd to run a 4 ohm load and you are running 2 ohms.

Considering ohms law, the amp will deliver less power to a 4ohm impedance then it will to a 2 ohm impedance.

So the 4 ohm speaker will put less stress on your amp.

^ Correct.

The problem here is Monsoon.

If you have the factory radio its ok. If you have an aftermarket radio its a paperweight.

Wont Hurt the amp, but those speakers probably wont sound as good as the stock ones did
