Hi everyone
I have to change 1 Front bearing but i was wondering if its worth doing myself ( and how-to ) or just bring it to garage??

what do you mean by bearing? hub, half shaft? if it is one of those just do it yourself. it always helps to have a friend around too. the haynes manual has a good walk through.

by the sound, I m guessing the bearing, i changed the other one last year and its the same grinding sound. I m not very good with terms, the half shaft is behind the bearing?

let see if i can get terms straight, it has been a while.

from outside to inside:

wheel -> rotor -> wheel hub -> half shaft -> u-joint -> transaxle

which piece did you replace previously? its sounds like you had the hub replaced. i think you can do it yourself. just go pick up a haynes manual. the only special tool you really need is a hub puller which you can buy at any parts store and then return for a refund when you are done, if you don't break it. lol

yah you can buy the whole hub for more or cant you buy just the bearing for way cheaper?and i would recomend a hayne's manual,and a puller for the not so skilled.

You don't really need the puller. Just a hammer. Unless you need to save the old hub for some reason...

You'll need a torque wrench.

check ryan's bearing thread too. he appears to have found the reason for our bearings dying so quickly..

I'm repeating the previous but GO TO RYANS THREAD ON THIS...it is where you will find the best info.

Yes go to my thread.

You have to take the tire off, then the caliper, then the brake pads, brake pad mounts, then the hub.

Just make sure to take the axle nut off first, then brake the lugs loose, then jack the car up and dismantle.
