Just got her home and hour ago.

She is an '04 with 64K on her. Extremely clean car that beat out an Aurora that was also very clean during our search for a car to replace the Intrigue. The OSV kit is destined for this car and the usual cleared corners, grill mesh, door molding removal will be done over the weekend plus more down the road.

It has the 3400 in it but I did drive one car with the Ecotec that was a rolling disaster with the exception of the motor which performed like a champ. The wif nixed that car.

I was so looking for one of those. When I opened the hood of that car I just about wet myself but then I looked further and saw automatic I told myself DAM IT!!!

I should have bought that car fom Kansas.

I told you... I'm all for making a 3400 5-speed with drop-in parts... There's no comparison in the fun to drive factor with a 5-speed Ecotec vs a 5-speed 3400. 3400 FTW!

what exactly happened to the intrigue? was it dying? or was it just old and falling apart?

Oldsnut

Tranny, front suspension shot , GM chrome wheels not holding air properly due to corosion and peeling chrome. Many other smaller details. Not worth what I would have to spend in parts and time.

i know you or blackjack did it, is it decent? i know mine is fine, but im still thinkn of it

kwhauck

blackjack did it, I was going to as well, but then decided to do the five speed swap.....yes i can't shift as fast as an automatic, but the fun factor with a 5 speed is 10fold over an autotragic......

lol from urban dictionary

autotragic (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=autotragic#) (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=autotragic#) - Alternate name for an automatic (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=automatic) transmission. The substitution of "tragic" conveys the pointlessness, wastefulness, and ultimately, futility, of aforesaid transmission.

Users are doomed to a sad life of dullness and monotony; they possess no goal other than to get from point A to point B using the minimum of brainpower. There is no joy in their lives. A tragedy for our times.

The red Subaru WRX looked hot, until i realized it was an autotragic. I went home and cursed an uncaring god who has clearly forsaken us.
