can you clean your headlights without taking them completely apart? run some warm water mild soap diluted shake and rinse then let air dry or maybe dry with a fan or will the water get stuck all over the place? for some reason one of my headlights decided to get foggy and its not moisture inside. ive had that before and recaulked it. this looks like a gooey mess in there idk where the hell it came from or how it got in there but its driving me insane. i dont trust myself taking it apart and i dont want to spend $200 on a headlight!!

if its on the inside.. you can't do anything but to take them apart again.

how would you expect anything to get out(dirt/dust/moisture), if its completely sealed w/ caulk??

You need a headlight restoration kit . It will include various grits of sandpaper, and a plastic wax. I used a kit on mine and it did wonders...it just takes some time to do it right. Well worth the investment.

Oh inorder to do something like that you need something that can disolve the dirt and once pored out evaporate streak free...sort of like alcohol with out the residue.

Well when I cleared my corners I got as much caulk out as I could, but I wasn't really to concerned with it...haven't had a problem in the last 3yrs. The outside of my head light was really like tarnished like...so I used the kit and it worked very well. Good luck..I couldn't imagine taking those lights apart to clean them, but you do what you gotta do.
