Just wondering about this.....anyone got info on this? It seems like it can be done without this guy's kit,( I seriously DOUBT an 8-10 horse gain, but I'm wondering if this actually does any good..?

sounds convincing, I seriously doubt more than 5 horses though. Check his rating, if its good then I would say 5 horse power is worth 15 bucks. Just my thought.

Nice post mfuller
You will see minimal gains, if any

I too doubt you'll get any big gain, but save about $13. Go to Home Depot and buy a heater hose and two tack cover caps. That's all the kit is

do what Redog said or just forget about the whole thing.

alot of guys used to bypass the tb's on this transam forum i used to be on, they swore up and down that it helped, and it's also basically a free mod... i've been wanting to do mine, just havent gotten around to it

only do this if you have a cai, anything else and your wasting your time. having a cooler throttle body will help keep the air cool until it hits the intake manifold and thats all, you wont see any performance gains, at least that you can notice without any specialized equipment. Look at it this way, let your engine get to temperature and touch the TB, you'll burn the @#$t outta yourself, do this mod and try again, same result. the tb is too close to the exhaust and hot engine for this to make a diff. on a car with a diff intake, honda is a good ex. the tb is farther away from heat sources and this mod will offer a little more of an un-noticeable gain.

I would compare this mod to "removing the MAF sensor screen"
We all know what a HUGE differance that does lol

hehe When installing my Naichspeed CAI, I thought about pitching that screen, but decided against it because of the input on this forum. I never intended on buying this guy's stuff, but in theory it sounded like it might have been a decent idea ( atleast better than the whole resistor-mod... Lmao ) Thanks for all the input guys. B)
