I can't decide if Itd be a good idea or not. The black window vent visor guard things on my white alero. Mines a sedan might make a difference

Only thing they are good for is if you smoke and want to keep the rain out.

Air in and out on hot muggy days here, I think black on a white or black alero would add to it more then stand out

So roll your windows down a little. Why do you need covers?

I have em, and use em a lot, because it is constantly raining here, and i enjoy the fresh air.

if you have tinted windows it COULD look okay, but if you don't, it will look like poop.

Meh, A/C and "fresh" option on the HVAC system.

how the hell do your windows hold the headliner in place? O_O

i think he is refering to the wind that rolling the window down brings in, making his headliner fall/come off...

I'm guessing it's due to the heat? or something to that affect.... I just glued my headliner back up using that glue in a spray can.

makes sense to me why your headliner falls down it also makes sense no need to fix it if having the windows up and the a/c or fresh air feature on solves the problem.

yeap... pretty successful comparison... if you ever wanna take em off, a little goo gone will loosen up the double sided tape which affixes them on. no issue

ballin, and im assuming if someone wanted them after wards at half cost, silicone would do the trick, worth a shot, could be just the thing for the fricken thunderstorms in the summer here, fresh air can suck here, marsh, cat food factory, sawdust factory can all be very unpleasant to smell

i've never heard of that... in my life. ever.
everyone i know drives with their windows down. No-one has ever lost a headliner.... ever. my dad's old datsun did, but it was like...15 yrs old... and not maintained.
it just sounds plain idiotic to me. but thats just imo. maybe it DOES happen, and i've never been witness to it.

I had them on my car and I loved them. The guys on here gave me hell for them, but oh well. When it rained and it was muggy (as it usually is here), I could get soem fresh air giong and keep the window from fogging up.

btw, the chrome suggestion was to match the rims, and would enhance chrome window pillars, but i think thatd be way to much bling for me, considering im a stainless or polished guy, but that idea might be just right for some of your fancies

Guess not, I only worked on interior trim and headliners at Takata. It should be held in by xmas tree clips, push them back in or pull it all the way down and get new ones.
They way you described it sounded like the windows were physically holding the headliner up, which made no sense.
Cherrington was like "whaaaaaaaaa?" and cavaliers60 thought heat made it fall down, so don't be targeting me just because I inquired further into your problem to find exactly why yours is broke.

i have a set of the weather tech vent visors... mine tuck in the channel for the windows... no need for glues at all, and they do not hamper the mechanics of the windows either... i have had them for 3 years now and no issues whatsoever... on the front windows they tuck right in from the mirror all the way around to the back of the door... if you want, i can try and get a better picture of them for you...
AleroDrime
05-04-2009, 11:37 AM
please, but i got to be misunderstanding, do they stay inplace with the windows down?
doubleN0alero
05-04-2009, 12:23 PM
Yes, they glue to the silver trim along the top side of your window...theyr'e on the outside of the window and they stay put.

i think he's asking about the ones that tuck into the window channel.
C_EICK
05-04-2009, 01:03 PM
Every visor tucks into the window channel, as far as i know. And like Double said, they glue/ 3m double sided tape onto the chrome trim.
AleroDrime
05-05-2009, 10:52 PM
eww that puts me off a little bit if it hides the trim, the trims one of the things that just makes the alero nice

Yessir! :smokin:
I'll have to gather up a pic of mine, Its a black coupe tho, so the black shades dont looks too bad. The worst part is that the plastic on the rear on the shade doesn't actually fit under anywhere, ( the front lips under the mirror ) Thats why people don't like it.

I dont like them, but if you get them, go black, then if you have tinted windows they kinda blend in, chrome would stand out too much imo.
