Then finaly on the forth notch, it blows full blast. I only have off and high.....weird, good thing its under warrenty still.

Extremely common, one cooked resistor to go please! Do a search here to find out how to replace it, they aren't too pricey, or if it's still under warranty get GM to fix it like I did.

My air doesn't cool down right away, so I take advantage of this. The AC still runs, but since the blower isn't going, you just don't feel it. I leave it on the first notch (the first ON notch) and hit the recirculated air button (same row as "AC" and the defroster) and after a couple minutes, chilly air comes pouring through when I kick it up to the 4th or higher notches. :)

Burnt resistor. Here's what you need and need to do to fix it:

I found one on ebay.

I though it was funny where the guy puts ----- "This is the new improved version. General motors had to go to Japan to get a version of this part that works right. This will not have the issues the originals had."

Buy what I really want to know is this: Would it be worth $29 to test out a new part?

You are all wrong. This is not the resistor. Mine is the same way. Only works on high. On high, you bypass the resistor and go straight through the relay under the hood. I guess you COULD have a bad resistor, but it would have to be COMPLETELY cooked, which doesn't usually happen (usually you will only lose one or two settings). I have finally narrowed it down to the wire that goes from the resistor to the relay under the hood. Which means ripping out the dash (I think). Sucks.

I had this same problem with my cavy. All it took was a new resistor.
