First, I apoligize if this has been asked and answered. I didn't find it with a search.
I need to replace a 2000 3.4 engine. The interchange shows '00-'02 as good years. My question is about '03 and up.
There are more '03 and '04 vehicles with the 3.4, with cheaper prices, and most important -- lower mileage available for salvage.
Will the later years work? I don't mind if I have to swap external components, as I am really interested in what would be considered a long block. I've talked to several mechanics and salvage yards, but can't seem to get any answers other than "what does the interchange manual say?"
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
