Does my headunits low pass filter need to be off or on 78hzs or 128 hzs

It depends on what frequency you want.
This is for your subs, right?
Are you using the LPF on the amp? If you are then you don't really need it on at all.
If you're not then you set it to the desired frequency. Most likely 78Hz (not hzs!).

the amp should have a better filter then your h.u. keep it off on the radio.

I use 70 hertzs for my LPF.

Ok I need to double check my amps settings, any recomendations? I'd go look but its pearl harbor with mosqitoes at night

recomendations? theres a little switch you flip from "full" to "LPF" then a dial you adjust to the correct Hz point.
and to clear things up... Hz = hertz. There is no plural. Hence our laughter. its just hertz. always... hertz.

its going to be a little dial switch.. with no numbers on it. you just adjust it until you get the desired sound.
