Going to be buying FI BL either a dvc 15" or 18". I already have a built 4 cuft enclosure for a 15" but i think the 18" would be diffrent

Just remember that a large speaker will yield lower bass, but a smaller sub will thump harder.

Negatory, all depends on the sub, not the size.

Get a BTL if you're really feeling funky :p

94.1 dB 1/w/1m

Its pretty high for a sub, but this numbers about useless anyhow.

How do you figure its useless?

And yes that is pretty high for a sub

Because it just is.

I have seen people judge a woof off that number. Try and tell people which one will be louder, etc.

Thats a number pulled off 1 watt of power...

When you have a woof that can take, 2000 WRMS, that 1 watt reading becomes absolutely meaningless. The stiffer the suspension of the sub, the lower the 1w/1m reading is.

I get all that but generally speaking, the larger the sub, the lower it will go!

Could always take out the back seat. Who needs more then one passenger.

Correct. One person in the passenger seat still allows for road head.

on the DB efficiency, the actual result from the woofer depends on the box, amp, and vehicle enclosure its in

Think before you type, seriously.

Its a measurement of 1 watt RMS at 1 meter distance = 1W/1M

So we know the power, we know the distance. Its not a number that it can produce as normal use. Nobody would be dumb enough to try and publish such a number...

Furthermore you even typed it: "DB efficiency" You are talking SPL here.

Its nice when people help out that know what they are saying. However when you talk just to talk, well it sometimes makes you look silly...
