MP62 off of a SS cobalt... need PCM and BCM and other junk though

the bottom end can stand a lot, try for like 215 out of the ecotec at like 6LBS of boost

2 grand? definitely go turbo. You can get a basic setup for about that much. get it tuned, save more, then go bigger.

after a couple rounds of that.. you'll be racing vettes.

Anything worth doing is worth over doing. Dont settle for less, when you can have more :p

Edit: O yeah, Welcome!

Boost bout time someone does it to an Alero with an Eco, I would do it to mine but I don't really know how I would run my charge pipes and I would want forged internals cause I don't think I would be satisfied with just 8 psi of boost.

my cousins old civic was running at 21 psi when he took me for a ride and it was pretty much an instant addiction to boost.

Build it to be stupid fast with low boost, then go from there :dance1:

low boost would be fine just all these kids around here with there 300 hp twin turbo whatevers from japan would still be like Ha Ha should of bought a Nissan.

Kinda sad to only get 300 hp from a twin turbo setup, lol. If you could get 300+ hp on low boost (8psi), consider what might happen if you turn it up. Or better yet 300 hp with out boost.

Why worried about what they think, Had some dude in a Saab 95 SE laughed @ me because I had an Alero, lets just say I put him in his place, gave him some fun facts about his little Saab, lol

and?, don't listen to their "backtalk" they don't know what they would be in for if you had the $$

If I had the $$ all hell would break loose lol, 300 hp would be sweet on N/A but is that even possible with a 4 banger? if it is is it even streetable you'd probably need a race fuel? I know it's a simple task with a v8 to get 300 hp n/a.

I think its possible to make 300 hp and keep it somewhat sane for a everyday car and without race fuel, of cores with more power come the loss of fuel economy, but if its an ecotec, I don’t imagine the loss being that much.

That's sick, but I got to point out that it's a gutted Cavalier so it's going to be quiet a bit lighter than the Alero and chances are that it was run on a track that is lower in elevation than the track I would be running on which is 2200 ft above sea level.

No it says 13 Second Ecotec Cavalier N/A Auto on top of the video and they say 2.2 ecotec engine N/A with a 4speed auto in the beginning of the video.
