View Full Version : I actually did something to my ho

So, I finally managed to swing a few hours to work on the ho. I picked up a black bumper from the junk yard and got it installed. And I swapped out my broken dual post mirror for one I picked up off a member here. It was manual, so I swapped the guts from my other one, which worked but had broken mounts. From this point, I need to swap the outside passenger door handle that is messed up, and the silver passenger dual post mirror needs to either be painted or swapped out for a black one, and then I need to throw the interior in it so it is presentable to bring home to my new neighborhood. Buuuuuut....I need to fix 2 leaks I have before the interior goes back in. One in the trunk, which appears to be related to the sunroof drain, and one on the front passenger floorboard, which I'm hoping has been resolved by removing the sat radio antenna wire and replacing the weatherstrip. Good times. Anyway, updated pic of the car, looking a little less patchwork now...

Definitely have a ways to go, but making it presentable and getting it into the neighborhood will help. As it stands now, I lose an hour and a half in drive time going to and from the car to work on it, so that kills me.

Nah. I moved in with the fiance, into a nice golf course community. My patchwork exterior and lack of interior wouldn't fly with the HOA, or the fiance for that matter.

i guess social acceptance is a key part in your community haha

Not so much social acceptance. I'm long past having any desire for social acceptance. But if you want to live where there is less crime, ya gotta bite the bullet and put away your inner redneck lol
