button changes

ok so im tired and ive ramboed the search button to hell and have nothing

i thought i saw back when i joined that someone was working on switching their emergcy light warning light hazard light button what ever the freak it is

i wanted to see what yall were doing to these and replacing them with

why would you want to relocate or change your button, its a great button

i thought about relocating mine to the center console (arm rest thing) and then putting a push button piezo switch in its place for a push button start.... but it was too expensive/labor intensive to do. So i scrapped the idea.

I have to agree, why would you want to relocate it, its actually in probably the most convinent location. Most cars I have seen its almost an epic search to find that stupid buttin.
Anyhow, Relocating it would consist of makeing a new hole in the spot you want it, and extending the wires to said location.
As far as changing the look, all you would realy need to do is paint it, at least thats what I would do. Maybe make it green or orange or something.

Like I stated, Painting them would be easy and cheap, just sand the button, prime and paint in the color of your choice. You could even paint a smiley face on it :lol:

the only issue with the sticker is that the edges are rounded inward, the sticker would just cover the main flat area and it'd have a red ring around it

Get off the CPU
Grab car keys
open door and sit in driver's set
start engine
go to auto parts store
order or buy hazzard switch
pay the man
walk outside store
if shoplifting alarm goes off follow steps 10 and 11 if not goto 12
go back in store
ask man to remove security device
open car door
sit in drivers seat
start engine
put car in gear
slowly pull out of parking spot
drive home obeying all traffic laws
arrive home
get tools
remove center a/c vent
reach around ;) and remove switch from inside a/c vent
slide switch out
open baggie new switch comes in
install new switch with triangle pointing up (only goes in one way)
guide with reach around hand inside vent housing
test to make sure it works
if works, replace vent
clean up the one tool you needed by poutting back in the tool box
Grab keys and get out of the car
close door
lock door
be happy
go inside and watch TVOr the other how to since this was a recal

Get off the CPU
Grab car keys
open door and sit in driver's set
start engine
go to dealership
hand guy the key after explaining the problem (I feel sorry for that service manager)
wait in waiting room (bring iPod or Game Boy)
Get called up to sales desk
collect receipt
walk out to car
see pretty paper with feet pics on it
remove pretty paper
start car
drive home
play on CPU

if you sprayed the swith black with tint spray then marked off eyes and mouth and painted it yellow, youd have a smiley with evil red eyes and stuff at night

A few questions regarding, as my hazard button has been lost in the depths of that little hole for YEARS. What's the easiest way to reach behind and adjust it to put it back where it's supposed to be, and does anyone know if the light inside is a red LED of some sort, or just a small bulb in a clear red button?
