When my LIM seal went, I wasn't really losing coolant into the engine, I was leaking oil out. It was a slow leak, so it took 1000 miles to be down more than a quart. Use a flashlight while it is idling and look to see what it is. If it is an oil pan gasket or something it may be a cheaper fix. The LIM repair you did may have been before GM released the updated gaskets, so it may have to be done again, and may be the responsibility of the mech who did it before. Good luck.
