View Full Version : now you see it, now you dont!
just got my front plate retractor from summit yesterday, just finished up installing it. they give you some shitty rubber things that are supposed to hold the bracket but i ditched them and got some bolts with washers and nuts :thumb: surprisingly the plate actually moves with the car slammed, i got worried that it wouldn't but i guess it does lol. took me a while to figure out how to hardwire it into the car with pulse timers but i got it done and very happy with the results, for your viewing pleasure 2 videos and pics, enjoy:

and it doesnt look to stupid when its retracted and the car is just sitting there

that's pretty sick. i would be afraid of hittin it off and ruining the whole thing if i hit a bump.

probably not in the rear just for the front. its to keep the front end looking clean...
seriously man that car sits low!! do you drive it that low?

Looks sweet in both positions but kind of pointless to put it there if it's going to catch on the first bump in the road...
it was around $150 shipped from summit, "altec show n go electric plate holder" and i have air ride in my car so that is not my ride height, i didnt use the hardware they gave you to mount it, i used steel bolts and nuts on the thick AED kit so im not too worried about this thing coming off if it does happen to hit a bump at my ride hieght

fucking sweet.
Why didn't you mount in in the center of the bumper...just wondering?
looked really gay when it was in above the lip in the middle and there wasnt any lip on the inside on the bottom of the lip to get a sturdy bracket connection

i'd like more it, if it was quicker. It needs some caffiene in the motor... it runs at oldsman speed.
pretty slick though.
