View Full Version : Oil Pressure Light During Hard Turns
OK - when i make hard, fast turns, sometimes the car beeps 3 time and in the glimpse of my turning steering wheel i think i see the oil pressure warning light appear on my dash -- but it's only on for a split second.
can anyone shed some light on this?
thx!

kinda normal if it is really hard. for that second the oil pressure sensor is reading nothing due to the oil being forced to one side of the motor.
Don't do it anymore and you won't have to worry about it.........LOL

LOL yes oldsman is right... either get a baffled oil pan, or some sort of dry sump oiling system... haha
a baffled pan would be easyer

OOHHHHH !!! i forgot!
You could add a lil more oil than is neccicarry... like add an extra half a quart... this will help some but yea... sumped pan with baffles is what ya need

LOL, just curious, how hard are you taking these turns? I've never had that happen to me although I think I take some hard turns once in a while. I've taken some 90 degree turns at 35 mph. Maybe I'm being a wuss, LOL.

i agree with oldsman on this one. there really is no reason to take turns that fast unless you are on a closed road course. if i was a cop i might consider it to be exhibitionist driving.

I get the same thing when doing hard turns or donuts or e-brake stuff sometimes....nothin to worry about....
however...60+mph on a 90 degree turn in an alero...hard to believe
