Let's see, 22's hmmmmmmm....
New brakes
lifted suspension
heavy duty control arms
4t65 tranny swap
tub out rear wheel wells
smaller turning radius
All that money and will look stupid as hell, the only real benfit to it is you won't have to rasie the front end to do an oil change :rolleyes2:

To each their own, but rims that large on this style body hurts my eyes. 22's on a nice SUV, sure. Even on a Chrysler 300. But it just does not have nice proportions on a mid size sedan.

WOW, what are you running for speakers EV or BEYMA?
Also if you go with 22s your car is going to look like a frog unless you get some nice coilover set up or air cylinders for air ride, also you need to get the right offset so you can still turn and all of your tires dont rub.

if you got bank for 22's get a rim shop to do it all
Redog

It's not my taste, but if your going to do it, do it right or don't do it at all.
All those cars have the stock brakes on them, that's not done right.
a typical 22" rim weighs in around 110 lbs not counting the tire. A OE rim and tire tips the scales at 48 lbs. You're more than doubling the weight, per wheel, thus increasing stopping distance and wear on the brakes.
Look into doing a big brake conversion first. Big brakes will look better behind the wheels and serve a function too. Most big brake kits for the "N" bodies require a 17" wheel. They are usually listed under the Grand Am. I'm pretty sure PFYC.com still has a big brake kit under the GA section.
Of course suspension is important too, the "A" arms will probably hold up, the tire rods may go early, transmission will see problems eventually. The only way your going to tuck rims that big is to tub the body

WOW!! Sadly, for all the work you have put into this ride. The large ass rims your looking at seriously detract from the work you have already done. Go for a nice set of 19" or 20"s and slam that biotch.
p.s. Don't even think about bouncing an alero on hydros. Tweeks the body every time.

I see too much of that around here, Michigan that is, be totally different and get 10" wheels!!!! Relay tho, IMO I dont like anything over 17" when it comes to wheels, there is just too much wheel for my taste, not to mention Alero's all ready sit like an off road vehicle stock, and putting wheels that big and lifting it, why not just buy a small truck. To me a car should sit low on the ground.

obviously you ain't kicked it with the eses (ess a's for you crackers out there) enough. I've seen 'em put Daytons on Impalas, Toyotas, Hondas, early 80's surburbans, an old school Beetle, and even a '50's Nomad Wagon. I'm sure I'm leaving out some good examples but basically if has an engine and runs, the eses will put Daytons on it and drape a Mexican flag somewhere in it or as the front license plate too.
