I've searched and read through about 10 cases for the same problem I'm having....front passenger side sqeaks when I turn right. I'm almost positive its the CV joint, if not, then the bearing or hub. But I think its the CV joint. How much would it cost to repair the CV joint (off warranty) if it is indeed shot?
Thanks in advance

I never replaced a CV joint on an Alero but I remember my parents relpace one on their 87 Nova back in 1993 and it cost about $550 back then, parts and labor.
Hope this helps but it probably doesn't :(

if you can do a brake job you can do this yourself.
i would strongly advice you to go buy a chiltons and try it. it will prob cost about 800 for a shop to do it.
all you have to do is remove wheel. rotor, hub and slide the axle out. put new one in remount hub, rotor, brakes, and then wheel.
should take about 2-3 hours if all goes right.
you will need a basic tool set though and need to rent a wheel hub socket from the zone to get er done but its pretty easy. if you lived in stl. i would help ya.
oh and the new cv joint costs around 70. at least from my work.
good luck
