Ok, take it as you will, cause I'm sure I'll get flamed for this one, but would someone make a quick photoshop of a grand am front end switch on a white coupe? Not really anything i plan on doing in the foreseeable future, but ide love to see how it would look and my photoshop skills FAIL.

Thanks

Nothing matches up. Unless you plan on swapping doors, fenders, hood, lights, and then the bumper, its going to look and fit like a rice-mobile, because the bodylines dont go. Trade for a GA.

Under that plastic molding is the same fenders and doors.. the bumper changes in the gt and se versions, if you want to match that bumper all you have to do is add the side molding

And 2 door or four door have nothing to do with anything???? it's the front end swap, like I say you posted a 2dr gt

BUT: Even in doing the front end swap it makes more sense to just fork over the extra cash into a body kit. The AAS kit has the same lines as the alero kit

Or their is the carbon fiber front end GA kit which matches the AED alero rear bumper nicely, or you can mod the GA CF rear bumper to fit the alero. CF has shaved body lines from the fender forward

Which the plastic stuff is kinda gay just buy a full rk sport body kit then all u need is fenders lights and header panel. And cut and glass on rear bumper

RK is a nice kit- Very SMOOOOOTHH lines

And all you have to do to convert the rear bumper in a sense is expand the rear bumper to trunk lip
and raise the lip, Here you can see the width difference

Ok so there is an SE (if an SE donor can be found), If the Alero doors are kept the body lines will look horrible. So if the parta can be found, new adhesive, paint, and undamaged. Thats a whole heck of a lot of work to turn an Alero into something it isn't.
I can only assume Ttop191 was wanting to swap bumpers and lights, it doesnt appear his budget or means got further than that.

/\/\ That is a late model SE you need a 03+ se to match the alero doors. And the only difference in the two cars is the bumper. The 02 and older se has the same door lines and fender lines underneath the plastic, so really all you would need is a 03+ Grand am SE bumper

Grand alero GT doesn't work either since its still abbreviated GAGT
Thats why THE (n-body) MUTT works best

Oldsmobile is Oldsmobile, Pontiac is Pontiac, Inter-compay inbreeding is Boredom.

Awesome. Too much work for too little reward to look like something else.

so thats why you have the same part #'s of a pontiac on your supposed OLDSMOBILE, since 77-78 (someone correct me)(after the controversy of a chev 350 in an olds) olds, pontiac, buick all became products of the GM Corp, not Specific manufacturers

so in my eyes GM is GM
OWNED

Meaning this in totaly humorous fasion, by that logic Were all driving ToyoMotors.
Its lame Badge engineering, or what I consider Factory Rice, and Doing things like Bumper swaps from another brand is just another flavor. Lets graft a Pontiac Vibe bumper on a matrix , same thing.

1996 Toyota Cavalier coupĂ© (Japanese export model with amber rear turn signals)As part of a wider effort to avoid additional restrictions on exports to the US, the third generation model was briefly sold in Japan by Toyota under an agreement with GM, badged as the Toyota Cavalier. Aside from the fact that it was right hand drive, the Toyota Cavalier also featured a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, wider front fenders, amber turn signals for Japanese regulations, power folding side mirrors, side turn signal repeater lights on the front fenders, and carpeting on the inside of the trunk lid. Interior seats were often flecked with color, and the rear seat had a fold-down armrest. The Toyota Cavalier was entirely produced by GM in the USA and sold from 1995–2000. 1996-2000 Toyota Cavaliers came equipped with the 2.4 L LD9 engine, while the 1995 used the 2.3 L Quad 4.

While all Chevrolet-badged Cavaliers received a facelift for 2000, the Toyota did as well with the updated center console, head-lights/hood/front bumper, tail-lights, and colors available.

A fair number of these vehicles are re-exported as Japanese used cars, most notably to New Zealand. Production of the Toyota Cavalier ceased in June 2000.

TRD made a body kit and rear wing for the Cavalier, available exclusively in Japan.

I guess thats why beauty has always been in the eyes of the beholder.
I don't customize my personal cars for what other people want, or like. I like to be outside the box, and do what I like. NOW if you came to me with a wallet full of cash and ideas of your own, Thats when I listen to other peoples opinions.
