I'm getting sick and tired of this damn rev limiter. Does anybody know how to disconnect it so that I can finally rev freely at the stoplight?

ummmm, put it in neutral
what kind of stoplight are we talking about? a street stoplight or a light tree at the track?

I have a DHP-PCM and mine does the same, you will have to have it reprogrammed for full rpm when stopped, its a safety precaution for your motor.

OH and a question, I still do have a rev limiter, and my govenor stops my speed gain in 3rd gear at 110 mph around 5000 rpm's, I found a jet chip on a site, Ill have to look for it again, but don't the jet chips disable both of these??

Play nice, children.
Jet does nothing for limiters.
Only DHP, ASE and any type of stand alone or reprogram. that's it.

ok, I recall some one unplugged something, which would allow you to rev freely, but I dont think they ever took it on the road, because they didnt know what else it disabled
am I right??........Or am I just imagining things?

I think you're talking about disabling the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Only problem with that is that it shuts down your guage info, such as your speedometer, RPM gauge, and your odometer. Basically, you'd just be driving "blind".

get a chip. where do you plan on going that fast? also, use the search feature. that way you dont have to post questions like these. they get asked ALL the time.
