Next question. Why are there four wires for each rear speaker? Doesn't make sense to me cause the speakers came with wire with only two connectors to splice w the old ones.... For instance on this side there's yellow brown blue an green....

Crap can't post pics cause at the parents house on my phone w this. But picture this- the round magnet with a yellow an brown wires going to one side and blue an green wires connected to the other side. Maybe the yellow an brown go together and the blue and green go together

There should be only 2 wires per rear speaker. Are you sure that wire is green?

sounds like someone did a crap job with the older speakers, lol.
sometimes the neg would have a strip (or pos) to distinguish, it sounds like the wires coming out of the harness behind the HU. in that case the other set of wires would be for the front speakers.

sounds like you have the monsoon system. as far as i know there are only a couple good aftermarket speakers that can be wired straight up to that system, other than that you need to run new wire and bypass the whole factory amp. don't quote me on that tho, i'm not for sure.

pull back the carpet on the drivers side in the trunk and see if there is an amp there.

Hmm all I see is a little gray plastic box runnin from the front looks like trunk release or somethin. Would the head unit say monsoon if it was?

yea i fogot all about the monsoon......one reason I did not get that, I knew i was upgrading everything anyway and its harder to work with an aftermarket amp.....rewire the speakers bypass the amp. that would also explain the different color wires, cuz its coming from the amp, not the harness itself. the harness itself would have the stipe on it do differentiate between pos and neg

door speakers and tweeters have red and black at the speakers... but there is a plug in the door where it splits and switches from factory colours.

Ok cool talked to the guys an they said just use whichever two wires produce sound instead of bypassing the amp. It's working fine. Same w the front too. I'm going back there- they even threw in free tweeters to replace my stock ones.
