I will not be making it this time either.... I'll be just getting out of Arizona and heading to wherever my internship is... I have NO extra time for trips.. I'm hoping by the end of next year, I have a career and I'm able to put back money for it next time. However, my wedding is in May 2011, so I don't know how I'll be financially. haha

Well it's pretty much evenly split on distance between Lapeer Dragway (shithole), Milan Dragway (really good), and US131 Motorsports Park (SUPER PRO ELITE LIKE HOLYCRAP).

But as always, who wants to drive that far and then break their car. I'd be fine with racing, but I live close.

My only concern with this statement is what is the other car and what do you mean by tow...car dolly? a strap? Towing an alero isn't the easiest thing in the world to do...ask me or Crazytaxi

front wheel trailer, the back wheels will be on the ground the entire trip back (it wont be towed unless it blows the fuck up at milan)

I've towed mine two ways, one with the tow dolly (hard even with stock bumpers, and even harder when the car doesn't run to get it up on the dolly!), and the other way by having all 4 wheels on the ground. You can't do the ground method if you're going too far and it's a lot more dangerous and a lot harder to control haha.

nope.. there is a private highschool by me tht has a perfect quarter mile strip of private road leading from their field house to the actual school.. so people go up and race twice a month and pick the gate lock and their will be like 35 to 40 of us

C'mon Canadian Guys get in on this..... Then I would have someone other than myself to help fix stuff that goes "Kaputz" on the drive down. acording to google maps it's a 32 hour drive for me and thats going through Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg, then through 6 different states.

Yea I don't blame you for making it two days lol cause last year i made the mistake of making a 16hr straight trip to Chicago. 8 hours there and 8 hrs back in the same day and i said never again will i do all that driving in the same day. And to make it even worse it was snowing most of the drive there and back. It sucked.

I couldn't afford to stop on mine it was gas and dollar menus the whole way cause it was a unexpected trip. I was being nice and picking up a family member that wanted to come out here for their Christmas Break Last year. Left at 7am and got back at 3 or 4 am the next day doing 10 over most of the way.

I drove from NC all the way to MI straight through. 16 hours and I stopped for gas/food twice. And a couple photo ops.

When I drive alone it takes me 8 hours with only stops for gas, eat on the way in the car. Last year I think I was on the road about 11 hours with more stops to meet up with people but made the journey much more fun. I know Smurf had to drive 3-4 more hours past that and Al and Randy made it from Southern Cali and had a blast. Distance is not the best excuse but people should try to make it at least once.

Im not in the best standings with some people, but hopefully that will be worked out.. I would like to see about possibly going, but it will all depend on where I am at in my life when this comes along. But for now, I'm a possible yes! Won't have an alero, but I will drive up the explorer to hang with friends.

yea no joke, u almost when off the road like 30 times when we drove overnight, that day we left at like 9am from denver and made it to lansing at like 6 or 7 am the next day. distance is no excuse:lol: u just need 2 monster BFCs a starbucks frap adderall xr and some smokes o and like 4 5 hr energys... but be ready to crash HARD

sheeba does get great gas mileage, but it started just last night! my gas light was on when i went into a store, then i came out, and it said she had a full tank!! i have an auto refill feature i guess?

I had that same MOD!!! Then my fuel pump went to hell, was pushing about 1/2 to 1/4 pressure, they fixed it, and i lost the Auto Fill Mod. I was pretty upset about it.

The G8 is by far an awesome car. Its a shame with Pontiac's demise we won't be importing them anymore since they're just a Pontiac version of the Holden Commodore sold over in Australia. If you do get it though you should still bring it to ASS. 16 hours isn't all that bad especially if your doing it in two 8hr. days instead of one straight shot. Plus you will have other people to caravan with so it makes the trip better.

Yea, It will end up being about 630 miles for me and my route has me going through Nashville, Louisville, and Indianapolis before finally making it to Lansing on I-69. Now that I know how much I need to save up I just have to hope my financial situation persists and I would most likely bring someone with because it makes it easier. I guess we will have to see what happens though cause I think I have to go to Pennsylvania next month and help my parents move some furniture our uncle is giving us now that he sold his house, but we would be taking their car so like I said we will see what happens because I would really like to be there.
