What do you guys think of something like this?
Would be a good upgrade for the Alero fo those wanting a stock appearance.
Will probably require modification of the bezel to sharpen the corners. Should be easy, then repaint the bezel.

Would $700 BNIB scare you away if you were looking for a factory like radio?
This has options also. Like the RCAs out for an amp. Bluetooth, etc. Its pretty loaded.

What is yours exactly Ken?
Is it an actual OEM radio?
Does it have RCA line out?
Standard factory wiring? Or something custom?
Nate, Pricing would be $700 for the actual GM fit one, $600 for the universal unit.
They have others on their site. I think its a cool idea, but when you make a radio that only fit one car only, and for only a few years... and expensive situation.

i like it. as long as it has three pre-outs, and supports my ipods connection. like the usb connection. i'm a fan of buttons like that, less touch screen

Personally, I prefer the aftermarket look customized to fit the car. The price is fairly decent for what it comes with.

I'd almost wager that you would need the 29 Bit GM Lan (CAN Bus) architecture for that radio to even work.

Its aftermarket, dont be fooled.
All you need for it to work is power, ground and a switched 12V.

I like that allot! I wonder how much the map upgrades would cost for that? I could see my self paying 450 to 500 for it but not 700.

Did a quick google search and the highest I've seen is 899.99(good lord) and the cheapest I've seen was 669.00. not terribly expensive for what you get I guess. Ebay has some for 659 free shipping.
That is to rich for my blood...lol!

$660 shipped they are probably loosing on it, or get a better quantity discount than my single piece price.

Did you already pick one up Ryan...or going to? I'm wondering myself how much of a pain in the ass this would be to get going...main concern is whether or not it has to be unlocked and all that stuff. After the first of the year I'll start looking for a new head unit, and I know I'm going with some type either a double din screen\dvd player or the single din type.
