???
Ive had to do this twice. The first time the clip that rides on the window regulator track broke, BUT I also messed up the cable wind cog. I tried to replace just that clip but it was to Eff'ed up to work.
The second time it was the wind cog.
The clips you show are the window sash clips. Those just glue onto the window? They are not part of the window regulator assembly, but part of the window. So if you bought a new window regulator you wouldnt get these with it.
So therefore I dont understand this post.

Don't understand? I don't understand how you don't understand.
The clips are what breaks, not the regulator, but when the clips break, you have to replace the entire regulator which is about $150. These clips are $14 at a GM dealer.
Thus you buy the clips, you save $136. What's not to understand

I think you may be mistaken here.
Those clips are the "sash" clips. They glue onto the window.
The plastic piece on the regulator that breaks is not those pieces you linked to...
One both my regulators that broke, the sash clip you linked to is not the culprit. The plastic piece that rides in the track usually is. I bought the piece and tried to replace it only to realize that when this happens you usually mess the cable cog also.

The white plastic pieces are what broke--shattered, really--on mine. I was able to order the clip from a local GM dealership for $45 after tax, but they only gave me one! Are the damn things $45 each, or are they supposed to come in pairs and I got shorted? I asked the parts guy for a "set" on the phone and he neglected to tell me that they come singly, and at the time I didn't know I needed two because I didn't have the assembly apart until tonight.
So now I've got no passenger side window, it's below 20 degrees outside, and I have to wait until Thursday to get the other stupid clip. And you're telling me I might mess up the cog when I try to install them? Any pointers on how not to do this?

mine is the little thing that rides on the metal track... and that breaks, and then the cog in the regulator itself breaks... my REGULATORS break, not my Clips...
and for future reference, the sash clips DO NOT come with a new reguator,
AND ANOTHER NOTE
those sash clips can be found, for the pair, for (9$ in Autozone's section with all the "help" products)

Thats about the going rate for the plastic piece.
What Im saying about the cog is it usually gets messed up when the window clips break. Simply because you were using the window, it got strange in the tracks. People think "WTF" and try to make it go up and down. When you do this it winds funny on the plastic cog, destroying the grooves in it for the wire to wrap around. Then it becomes a big tangled mess.
Remove the motor portion and look in. On both of mine the cable wrapped around the motor shaft...
Same thing happens when the windows freeze up in the winter.
Our power windows are very fragile creatures.
