So yesterday, I was about to head over to my friends place to help him move and when I sat down, I herd a loud thud. A sharp cold chill ran down my spine, not because of the cold wintry weather, but because of the images in my head of what could possibly make such a horrendous noise. I cautiously exit my Alero, and brace myself for the horror that I'm about to find. I look around and.... nothing, to my relief; I wipe the sweat from my face and proceed to my friends place.
Upon entering the first corner of my journey, I notice a slight grinding noise, like my brake pads have dislodged, and are now sliding sideways on my rotor, I brake carefully, and there is no change, I pull over and begin re-examining the wheels, rotors, and suspension. Much more carefully this time. I notice a piece of metal that not supposed to be there, I reach in and pill it out (frond left side wheel) thinking I solved my problem, I cheerfully continue looking everything over so as to make sure there was no sever damage. And that’s when terror struck!
I look and fin my coil sitting half on and half off the strut, and what I am holding in my hand is the lower section of my spring! The icy chill had returned, and this time with a bit of anger and disbelief. And now my car is sitting haply @ Midas getting the front springs replaced.
