you need to disable the DRL, 2004 correct? so the DRL's are Low beam...

did they not come with a kit to plug into your existing headlight wiring? if they didn't.. you bought a crappy kit!!!
get a pic of the wiring...

Yeah you bought a horrible kit. DDMTuning for $50 with a plug and play installation and you opted for some junk instead that you can't install?

no i went for the expensive ones cuz everyone here said to and yes they have plug and play but they didnt come on when i did that so they also came with wiring to run to the battery also if plug and play doesnt work and when i ran them to battery boom came right on and satyed on. i looked at the ddmt thats what mine look like same setup so ur sayin our cars should have enough power to push hids without having to go to the battery? maybe its cuz mines a 2004? theres so much different on a 2004 alero. if u think the ddmt with deffinantly work off factory harness and is not the year of my card id deffinantly buy them from that website.

where did you get them?
and if they ARE plug and play...then your doing something wrong.
a wire harness goes from the ballast to the harness for the lights. then the wires coming out of the ballast go to the new bulb.

they are xentecs and deffinantly plug and play and i connected them right its kinda fool proof maybe the ballast suck on them cuz connected to the harness (plug play) no power ran to battery they came on.

i had the same problem. turns out the plug that has to be plugged into the ballast was turned around. i spun the plug 180 degrees, plugged it back in and they worked perfect

Xentec is horrible, I got them for my first HID's cost me about $80 bucks. I went through 4 ballasts, they all got fried and only one headlight came on. Went with a better brand for $150, no flickers both headlights working and no problems ever since.

if you used the plug and play kit well you need to pull the relay for the DRL's and also don't forget to flip the plug because the alero's + and - are switched. so all you have to do is the plug from the bulbs to the ballast just flip the plug and replug it back in.

IF YOU BOUGHT XENTEC HERES WHAT YOU TRY!!! the the plugs going into the ballast flip it over, so the little nub is on the opposite side of the part that clips to it. they are backwards ! then amazingly they work it took me an hour to figure that out lol

the xentecs i have you had to side the wires into your own harness. nbd, but if you install them the way you think is right, its not. reverse the polarity at the plug and they will work fine.

Don't wanna jack your thread, but do we not need a relay harness to safely run HID's. Is the stock wiring suitable enough? I've seen an Impala running 35w HID's without a relay harness, and it fried the headlight wiring.

The stock harnesses put 55 watts through.... so I think it can handle 35...

I believe the issue is the initial burst of energy that the ballast requires to ignite the bulb. I may be wrong but I thought 35w is the energy required to run the bulb, with a larger amount needed to ignite it. I'm not to familiar with how the ballast works though, just going off what I've heard/seen.
