I tryed seraching it up on here and didn't find exactly what im looking for...What are the pro's and con's of getting a WAI or a CAI. Which is going to perform better and why? And is there a noticable difference once it is on?

I dont wanna sound like a dick but try look again..there is plenty of info on this subject. A cai is a cold air intake/induction and a wai is a warm air intake/induction. Your gonna get more hp from a cai but wai's are cheaper and easier to put in.

I know this might not be the same for the 4 bangers, but Naich said he got a little better everyday gas mileage with the WAI, over the CAI setup. ( on a 3.4 ) He never mentioned anything about the sound, so I'm assuming the wasn't much difference between the two. Hope this helps ;)

Well, if all you are getting is an air intake as your first performance upgrade,
you probably shouldn't expect a good HP gain.

Rather, you'll have quicker throttle response and a nice growl sound.

The Cold Air Intake has advantages over the Warm air intake, because it
pulls in cold air and doesn't warm up the engine as fast as the WAI.

I have a WAI that I put together myself. I found this awesome site that has the parts I need to put together a CAI on my 4-cylinder.
Air Flow Systems (http://shop.airflowonline.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv)
.. but if you want to look more professional, go ahead and get one of the pricey intakes that look pretty and are backed by a warranty.

I got the AEM short ram intake, and I am more than pleased with it, I got a tad bit of difference from it, but the main thing is the sound, its loud and sounds sooo nice.

^^check ebay for CAI for cavalier, they use the 2.4l motor and a bit of muscle you can fit it in without much of a problem. Price runs from 20 to over 80. (please note the stuff on ebay is a WAI). Or go thru ID and pay a limb but get the advantage of a true CAI.
