check out the rating on bodykraps- oops bodykits from the bbb

http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Bodykits-Etc-Inc-13169531

they get a d.

http://www.la.bbb.org/images/Ratings/bbb-rating-d-grey.gif

if you get anything from them you will run into issues.

bodykits is also unwilling to fix any issues.

Company Rating D
Our opinion of what this rating means:
We have enough concerns about this company (for example, their offer, customer complaints, advertising, etc.) that we recommend caution in doing business with it.

Isnt this the place that did the OSV kits?

01-22-2010, 01:11 PM
Yes. Looks like they've decided to just come out and bash 'em since they can't get a solution. Even though Bodykits Etc. manufactured the side skirts a hell of a lot shorter than the proper length somehow EVEN WITH a test fit car on-hand, and also screwed up the molds for the bumpers so that they're wavy, they won't repair their improper manufacturing.

Unfortunately the BBB doesn't do anything but label the company a rating. The only thing you can do at this point is try to keep other people from making the mistake of working with them.

We don't need the word spread on here, we already know they suck. Spread the word on other forums that might possibly do business with them.

well since we are talking about this company. DO NOT BUY FROM BODYKITS. After a year of trying to get the problems fixed with the kits they half ass do it and then they admit to their mistakes and then won't send replacement parts without us paying for shipping both ways. Then we have to have Alerosaint drive to their one shop and pick up the side skirts that were fixed and hand deliever them to them and then over the phone say yes the skirts are an inch too short. Now alerosaint had that stuff fitted before ASS and it took a couple of months after ASS to finally get this crap resolved. that was after we suggested having someone pick them up for them. Then they supposely fixed the side skirt mold after months of waiting for them to get them back from their manufacture and now we have been waiting for months for the manufacture to send the skirts back to them.

This company's customer service SUCKS. everyone in the group buy has gotten different stories from aldo everytime someone calls.

I have spent $3000 at half labor and then with paint. that doesn't include my 8 hours of block sanding. This was to get the kit as nice as it is and that is not the side skirts and wing which will be another chunk of change.

Now I will say this the front bumper fit great and could have minimal work done to it and painted and it would look pretty good, not show quality but not bad looking. the rest of the kit is a disaster.

I just touched the tip of the iceberg.

funny. i told aldo that the only thing i want is to get this kit on my car. i think this kit could kick ass.

just fix the error and send them out.

then i can get on with my life(and a car that has a kool OSV kit on it).

but, whatever. they want to be lame assholes.
i cant make them not be assholes.

Today in conversations with Aldo (yes he really did answer the phone) I find out that Aldo can't even keep decent records. Hok666 requested his kit to be delivered in "as is" condition and he was told that he already received his. WTF!!!

We went over who received and who didn't take the kit in yet. He got Aaron's kit mixed up with Ricky Tran's. I told Aldo to contact the shipping company and find out if Hok's was shipped yet. Ricky requested his kit to be shipped back in April and Aldo shows that his was not shipped yet but never got a complaint from Ricky that he never got his kit. I Aldo and Aaron a copy of the email releasing Ricky's kit for shipment back in April.and that was the second request for shipment.

We'll see how long it takes to get his kit shipped.

Call him like I told you in PM. They will get tired of us bugging them. Everyone on the buy ONLY needs to call Bodykits. Others don't need to get involved right now, it could create more problems when you speak of what you do not know.

hey Oldsnut check your PM and sendd me a copy of the contract you had drawn up with bodykits.org

what do you need a contract that is between Andy and bodykits??? It isn't going help anyone being according to bodykits the groupbuy is over. Hell there website says 100% satification guarantee and that is 100% BS.

But whatever good luck with it.

The contract can and would be needed for legal reasons as to show what exactly was the agreement between buyers and Bodykits..As well as any emails back and fourth regarding the issues with the group buy after the kits were shipped.

With proper legal channels used, and if the contract was found to be broken, (wich it is since by default the kit doesnt meet any type of finished standings) every one in the group buy would be able to re-coupe any money(s) invested. Also, seeing the buyers are in numerous states and looks like countries, a class action type suit would work in this case.

just my input, a shame cause the kitson the OSV is awsome and Id like to have one that isnt so much b.s to install........

kwhauck
03-15-2010, 01:59 PM
it fits, just not to show standards, i have been told by several bodyshops that problems like this are common and what quoted $400 to mount and prep for paint (including lengthening the sideskirts).....

So yes, it won't be to show standards, like Oldsman car, but it would be fine for the other 98% of alero owners...

unfortunely according to bodykits the kit fits fine with minor fitment which is BS but as of right now bodykits says they are fixing the side skirts and should be in anyday for past 4 months. they say they fixed the rear bumper.

Legal battle is going to be a LONG and expensive raod and if someone has the time and money to pay for it.........good luck

I want it because I haven't received my kit yet oldsman get the picture?? The Group Buy leader was supposed to have this handled..

And Im trying to understand why your speaking for Oldsnut I think he can respond for himself, that's unless he put you in charge seeing how he can't answer my PM's and send me the contract. It is beyond me how in anyway it could hurt you, that I want the contract?

Oldsnut I have asked you over the phone and PM's to send me the contract please respond I'm still being civil about all this and deserve something besides someone steal $930.00 of my hard earned money.. ok..

oh i am not speaking for Oldsnut. Now if you have called and talked to bodykits multiple times like I have and Oldsnut you will realize that it isn't Oldsnut that it is bodykits and their lack of working with us on everything.

but if by having a contract between oldsnut and bodykits will make you think bodykits will work with you, then i am sure you can have it.

I am sorry if work is more important than getting the info to you at your demand.

So your issue is with Aldo and the shipping company. It was stated in the buy that shipping was yours to handle. You were all given the name and phone number of Alliance Air Freight last year, 800-684-6395 or 818-982-3800 and Bill is the contact person there. I guess your record keeping is as bad as Aldo's.

Also didn't Aldo tell you he already shipped your kit? I told you what he said to me and that his record keeping is screwed up. If you remember I stated that he told me that he did ship yours and not Rick Tran's. I even forwarded an email copy of the OK to release kit for Ricky Tran and Ricky received his kit but yet Aldo still says that he didn't ship Ricky's kit but shipped yours. I suggest you keep calling Aldo and Alliance to track your order down.

I will not release a copy of the contract until I get approval from a lawyer friend of mine. She is extremely hard to get hold of between her Divorce and moving her practice.

I hope the remark about stealing was not aimed at me in any way? If it was you just opened up a whole different can of worms. Also nobody including Scot speaks for me.

Dude you never gave me the shipping number, if work is so important than why do you answer your phone every time I call?

But I finally got the number so drop it dude

If you sent it through pm I would have gotten it I still have all my pm's from the group buy and I have been through ALL of them recently and none I repeat NONE give the shipping number:)

No Aldo didn't not say he shipped my kit he said that he needed to setup his other computer to find my information and he still hasn't done that.

Scot! Stop speaking for me seriously.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Hok, I never said I would give you the shipping number. That would have had to come from Aldo or Alliance Freight. If there was difficulty in somebody getting that number I may have assisted but was not my obligation.

Phone numbers change or shut down, it's over a year. You obviously got thru to Bill and he gave you your answer that basically told you that Aldo lied or was mistaken about shipping your kit, what an effing surprise.

Hok, call Aldo and work it out and see how far you get with him and you will know our frustration.

FYI, I answer my phone because it is just that, MY WORK PHONE! My work phone is by my side at all times and gave it to you as a courtesy. Do not call it again. I have already caught crap from the owners about my minutes used in which a high % were from this fiasco.
