Hi Alero peeps!
I was looking for a new ride and found that it was a hard choice to make.
I couldn't find a model that inspired me.
The ones i liked inspired my wallet skyhigh so those weren't an option:coolio:
I haz had a Pontiac Transsport 3.8 GT for years, loved the thing, but she became old (360k) and wanted more money every week so i bought a cheapass Daewoo Espero and sold her to someone who pimped her back to glory.
BUT . . . . Espero wasn't the car for me and i (and wife) wanted back luxury and automatic transmission.
Surfing the market in the Pontiac, BMW, and Chevrolet corner I found out the existance of a Chevrolet Alero:yahoo:
only 13 are for sale in the whole country for weeks now and i found a good one after seeing a few cars.
Its an EU model with Olds badge on the front and (already removed) Chevrolet on the trunk.
It has only 78.000miles and a checked history of yearly service.
Motor and tranny are really dry, no leaks whatsoever and next service will be over 8.000 away. (lol, sorry for my bad english)
And it drives . . . . . woohoo i'm so happy!
I ordered and recieved some great chrome door pillars, now waiting for better weather to put them on.
Also ordered some really hard front springs as we have lots of speedbumps over here.
I will post some pictures of interesting EU stuff on my Alero soon
like rear fog lights, adjustable headlights and so on.
Found out the scrapjard nearby has five alero's so parts will be no issue.
I have it for a month now and didn't see any other alero driving by . . . .
(15 porches, 4 ferrari's, 3 hummers but no alero lol!)
Here are some pics from my oldies and a before-buy alero pic.
Great to find this forum, Haynes manual doesn't answer all my questions . . .
